the OTHER part of that fish story in the bible

Jesus thank yaaaahhhhh!!! Lol praise the Lord saints, halleluyer.

Jk but for realzzzz. The past few days GOD's been laying the story of Jonah on my heart. Not the usual part that we heard all the time growing up though. The part that I've been thinking about is after all of the stuff about the fish and stuff. I'm talking about when Jonah had gone to Ninevah and told them that GOD was going to destroy the city in 40 days. The Ninevites heard Jonah's warning and changed, and GOD had mercy on them. But this is the part that gets me, Jonah gonna catch a funky attitude with GOD! Actin like the Ninevites didn't deserve grace and mercy! THE NERVE OF YOUR GREAT GREAT X847953875 UNCLE FROM BIBLE TIMES!!! After he blatantly disobeyed GOD and was forgiven! So anyway, after I took my antibiotic, ibuprophen, nasal decongestant, and vitamin C, (i have the flu and a sinus infection, pray for me lol) I realized, we often act like Jonah did. We sin like crazy, but feel like our sins pale in comparison to the sins of others. THAT. IS. DUMB. Sin is sin. GOD is holy, meaning he despises ALL sin. "For the wages of sin is death"... I don't see anything in that verse that says one person's sin is less than anothers. None of us deserve grace, but thank the Lord that he gives it to us anyway because he desires for us to have a relationship with him. In the words of Witness (old skool, yall dont know anything about them) "Where would I be, if it wasn't for your grace? Because of unmerited favor, all past sin has been erased." So because of GOD's grace, we have a free pass to do what we want? NEGATIVE. We need to constantly strive to be more like Christ is all that we do. My granddad always says, "You won't be sinless, but you will begin to sin less"
